“This is the first campground my wife and I went to as a couple. It is very well maintained and very family friendly. Our first adventure was about 3 years ago and involved a tent and have since figured out that we are too old for tents. We returned with a vintage camper and were welcomed. The next year we upgraded to a 5th wheel. The campground has upgraded its wireless and also has a new swim platform. We stay there 2 – 3 times a year.” – B. Geisler, January 2018

“Wonderful park and owners. Love it here.” – J. Norris, June 2017

“Perfect, very friendly and hospitable.” – S. Aran, June 2017

“Quiet and very friendly.” – S. Thompson, June 2017

“This is a quiet, nicely maintained campground. The owners are visible and will ask you to respect their rules. This is not the place to go if you are looking to party loudly.” – D. Revelli, August 2017

“Honestly the best campground we have stayed in for a while. The owners are top notch, helpful and kind. Park is very well maintained! We plan on staying here whenever we are visiting family in Waterloo or passing through Iowa. Truly a MUST STAY experience.” – Nomadic Liwais, May 2017

“The RV spaces are spacious, level and clean. There are trees near some spaces, others are in the full sun, but the park is surrounded by trees that encourage birds and small wildlife. There are lots of activities available for the family that wants to stay active or if you are like us and looking for peace and quiet, this should be your destination! The hosts were terrific and so helpful, they made sure we had everything we need.” – Gooneybird, June 2016

“This is a great little park if you are going to be in the area. There are lots of seasonal rigs but the spaces were very well kept… LOTS of activities available for those with children or grandchildren. Mini-golf, a little beach, climbing toys, a canoe, etc. The owners are new in the business but appear to have learned lots since earlier reviews as things appeared to be well run with everything under control. There was a ‘Birthday’ party one evening that was well attended with cake and delicious homemade ice cream. A little chance to visit. We would recommend this park to any rv’er that we know. Spaces are primarily on gravel in full sun. Lots of grassy area throughout the park and a picnic shelter with a huge yard down by the lake. Beautiful.” -Themom3, June 2016

“The park is very well maintained. Very clean and quiet campground. There is swimming in the lake and the beach area is very nice. We needed packages delivered during our stay and they were very kind and accepted them for us. Great antenna TV and WIFI is acceptable. Laundry room very clean. I would very much recommend this campground. Pet friendly and the owner, Joyce, was extremely nice and very professional. We camped at Lake Shore RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.” – Angelia, August 2015

“We were taking a 3 month trip out West. We spent 3 wonderful days at the end of June 2015 at Lakeshore. I especially liked the lake. From the moment we arrived, up until the moment we left, the Owners were willing to help in any way possible. We did have an opportunity to chat with them while we were doing laundry. It was learned that they are RVers too. There was an opportunity for several Navy Buddies and wives (who lived in the area) to stop by and visit. There was also an opportunity to share our previous careers among other topics. They even invited us to a Birthday Party on the patio. If you are looking for a campground (not far from the Sullivans’ in Waterloo), please consider Lakeshore Resort. Thank you both for a great visit, you have a 1st Class Operation. We will be back!” – R. Batiato, June 2015
